Verbiage to Invite Hostesses to Book a Party

Brand New Designer in Training

"Hi Mary, this is Deb. Is this a good time to talk? The reason I am calling you is because I've just started an exciting new business with Celebrating Home. Have you ever heard of it? We offer fabulous and affordable items such as Candles,  Food, Wall Art, Stoneware and so much more!  I know how much you love to burn candles (or decorate etc.) and I thought of you right away!  And Mary, I'm in a contest during my first full month and am looking to book 6 parties. I'm giving away $20 in free items for the first 6 Hostesses that help me to get started in my business and I chose you.  I wanted to call you right away and see if you would be interested.  Could we get together so you could see our catalog?"

FYI, the $20 in free merchandise is an $18.00 booking credit which costs you $5.00 plus the additional $2.00.  It is a small investment to get your business rolling and to get those additional bookings to keep your business building!

What’s the best way to obtain bookings? Simply ask! Here are some conversation tips you may find helpful.

All Purpose Booking Telephone Conversation
Ask if you have caught her at a good time - “Hi, this is________. Do you have a few minutes?”  Let her know why you are calling - “I’m really excited because I have my own Celebrating Home business and I need some. Have you heard of Celebrating Home?”

If “Yes,” you can say, “Great! You know we offer heirloom quality stoneware, wall art, candles, food, stunning floral pieces and a whole catalog of decorative accessories.”

If, “No,” respond, “May I tell you a little about my company?” (Continue as above.)

Describe your Three Services:

“I’d love to show you a catalog to see if there is anything you would like to purchase.”  “If you’d prefer to get your products free, I’d love to treat you to our Hostess Benefits. Your friends would have a great time at the Party, you’d help me and you would get lots of free products.”  “Finally, I’m sure you can hear my excitement about my business. I was wondering if you’ve ever thought of doing something like this. We could have fun working together.”

Ask which services interest her - “What sounds interesting to you?”
Interested in Purchasing - “I know you will love our products! I am having a Party on _____ (date) at _____ (time).

Can you come and bring a friend?”
Interested in Hosting a Party - “That’s great, _______. I really appreciate it.
I’ll be your partner in helping you get what you want from your Party! I’m scheduling the weeks of _______ and _________. I have ________ and ______ available.  Which would work better for you?”

People You Meet While Out and About – Be Prepared!

“I thought you might enjoy looking at this during your break (give them a catalog or Party Preview). If you find something that interests you I’d love to be of service. My name and number are on the back, may I have yours?”
Wherever people are shopping for the kinds of products you represent, try saying, “My company has terrific ________ that you would probably love!”
Naturally, the next question will be, “What’s your company?” You can answer, Celebrating Home. Have you heard of us?” Then describe your three services. Ask someone, “What do you do?” This will give you the opportunity to talk
about what you do. “I have my own home-based business with Celebrating Home. Have you heard about Celebrating Home?” Then describe your services.

Tips for Booking Parties on the Telephone

The phone is a time saver that allows you to instantly reach people whether they are next door or miles away. Any time you need more bookings, go to your telephone and “dial for dollars.”
Always have a smile on your face when phoning. The person you call will hear the smile in your voice!
Introduce yourself and ask, “Do you have a moment?” or “Have I caught you at a good time?”
Offer a choice of dates from your Open Dates.
Begin Hostess coaching on the phone, and get the Hostess Packet to your Hostess right away.

People You Know
Try this - “Hi Mary, This is ___ with Celebrating Home. Do you have just a minute? I’m so excited! I just received my new catalog and I immediately thought of you! You and your friends are going to love our new items! Would you like to hear what dates I have open?”

Or - “My company just introduced a new catalog and I wonder if you have a few minutes to give me your opinion on some of our new products?”

Or - “I’m looking to expand my business and would love to have you take a look and see if you or someone you know would benefit from one of the services we offer.”

Or - “I was just thinking about you. I know that you…” “I was just thinking about you. I have a note to call you when…”

Then, create a sense of urgency! Use a promotion the company is offering or create a “limited time offer” of your own. “I was just notified that the company is offering an extra thank-you gift to Hostesses who book during _______, and I
thought of you! I have ________ and ___________ available. Which works better for you?”

Or offer the two closest dates by saying, “I’ve had a couple of rearrangements in my schedule. If you can take one of the dates, I’ll make it worth your while! I have ________ and ___________ available. Would one of them work for you?”

Is this a good time for you?  The reason I'm calling today is because Celebrating Home has a fabulous new Fall catalog and to launch our fall and holiday season I'm offering a gift to the first 6 people that have party! I thought of you and since I could only pick 6 hostesses I wanted to call you right away!  I'd love to do a show for you. Could we get together so I can show you the new catalog?

Hi Mary? This is Deb from Celebrating Home. I met your friend Susan at one of my parties on Saturday and she encouraged me to call you. Is this a good time to talk.  She told me how much you love candles and thought you would love to have a home party. Have you heard of our company?
