Distribute Drawing Boxes in your Community

To make drawing boxes, you need boxes (could use shoe box, kleenex box or any of the smaller box variety).  Wrap the box like a pretty package and cut a slit in the top to deposit drawing slips.  (You may want to use a shoe box with the top wrapped separately from the bottom so that you can easily empty the drawing tickets and not have to fish them out through the slit)---up to you.  You need a sign or poster stating what you are having a drawing for....i.e....."Register here for a FREE Celebrating Home Giveaway".  Use the drawing slip master that came in your kit or the one I have offered here to make numerous drawing slips to set by the box along with some mini mailers and an attached pencil on a string.

Next, place the drawing boxes in various locations around town...like.... beauty shop, tanning salon, nail salon,  Dr. office,  Pack 'n Mail, Cleaners, Bank; etc....anywhere a shop owner will let you  (best to put them where people have to wait). . . . .waiting rooms, etc....(I know you have seen them in the tanning salons advertising Mary Kay or Metabolife, etc.) This gives the prospective drawing ticket signee a chance to view the mini and answer the questions on the drawing slip, deposit it in the box for you to review later.  This is the same type of drawing ticket you would use for a booth at a fair or craft show to get leads.  You never know who will be interested in booking or selling if you don't try to reach everyone is some way.

You WILL get a lot of junk in those drawing boxes, believe me, you will have some scribbling by children, some teenagers saying they want to have a show----but try to book them---good luck and you will get those that put they were interested in booking, thinking that they would win your prize if they put that on there slip.  But you WILL get some good ones too.

The key to finding success with drawing boxes is:

#1 Do It.  (Most just say  "Oh, that's a great idea and never really DO IT!!!

#2 Gather your drawing box contents at least once a week (Friday would be a good day to go around and collect)

#3 Don't spend all your life savings on the giveaway.  Do one giveaway a month between all of your boxes------a jar candle would be great.   That cost you $3.00 a month for, who knows how many leads!  It is basically a free way to advertise your business.

#4 Follow up with the leads weekly as they come in----excited people become unexcited all too quickly, so you must follow up.  (I know gals who have made time to make the boxes and put them out and do all of #1, #2, and #3 but shy away from the telephone or never find time and never make the follow up calls. FOLLOW UP and FOLLOW THROUGH!!!!  Use the same verbiage that you would to follow up with a fair booth lead or a job fair lead.  Everyone is a winner with CH and you can say that when you call back to book someone out the drawing box that showed an interest in booking.

SAMPLE PHONE CALL START: “Hi this is Mary Smith from Celebrating Home and although you did not win my prize drawing for the month, you have won a chance to get $60 to $100 in free CH merchandise just for having a few friends and family over to see our fabulous new catalog.  Would you like to set that show up for Tues., Sept., 19 or Thurs. Sept. 21?”  Let her choose the date and you are partying on that day.  NEVER ASK: When would you like to have your party?

Never ask a question that can be answered with the word  "NO"  Effective phone follow up calls come with practice and you will get better the more you practice.  Just face it, not every one will take you up on having a show or joining the business  (THAT'S simply Their LOSS) If you cannot get them to bite, Don’t forget to ask them who they know that might be interested.  ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask for referrals; and you know, if you always ask for referrals, you never run out of people to call; so you never run out of business!!!
