HOW TO WIN THE COMPANY INCENTIVE TRIP

We’re going to Cabo San Lucas!!!!!!!!!

This is the time of year when H&GP announces our new incentive trip, so I
want to share with you some tips and information on how you can earn a dream
vacation! Win this year and you'll not only have a great time, you'll love
getting to know the H&GP family, and you'll never want to miss winning a trip
every year! Isn't it a great opportunity to have a "job" where we can
travel for free every year?! H&GP has never made it easier to win the trip than they did this
year! Our contest will run during the summer months. Any designer whether brand new or experienced who makes a commitment
to win the trip will do it!! Call your sponsor and make an action plan and
make sure you understand how you can easily earn points with sponsoring and
sales.
Get started now!
Too many people wait until the last minute, only to find themselves short of
sales or recruits. Don't let this happen to you. The key to earning a trip
is setting goals early and closely monitoring your
progress. I missed winning the trip my first year only because I
didn't believe that I could really do it! Once I made my mind up to it I
made it happen! You can do it too!
Set goals – picture yourself there!
Write down your goal. What sales figure do you need to hit? How many
recruits do you need to earn the trip? Keep these goals where you can see
them often.
Go to travel agencies, get color brochures of the trip destination.
Put them up everywhere that you will see them often: in your office, on the
refrigerator, on your bathroom mirror, and in your date book.
If you work full-time, submit your request for your vacation during that
timeframe; and have your spouse do the same. Get out the suitcases, and
start making a list of the things you will pack.
See yourself there! It will be a sunny and tropical destination, so
visualize yourself lounging by one of the pools or on that beach with the warm breezes blowing and the
ocean waves crashing on the sand. Imagine the fun you will have with your H&GP family! You are bound to build memories and friendships to
last a lifetime! Indulge yourself by dreaming of the
magnificent sunsets, and picture yourself sipping on an umbrella drink.
Visualize the excursions you will be able to take, the ocean waves, the
beautiful beach and the turquoise water, as far as the eye can see.
Break down the large trip goal into smaller, weekly goals.
Don't become overwhelmed with the sales goal; break it into manageable
pieces. How many shows will you need to hold each week? How many bookings
will you need to date, to hold that many?
(Example: If you want to hold three, book four.) How much in sales will you
need? How does that break down weekly? How many recruits will you need? How
many leads will it take each week to get those recruits? Think in terms of
weekly, not monthly. Winning the trip with sponsoring will be super easy so
start inviting now!! You receive 500 points for each person you
sponsor during the contest and one point for every dollar they sell. Just
imagine how many points you can earn if you sponsor several new Designers
during the contest period!
Too many people focus on what they need each month to earn their trip, then
when they come up short at the end of the first month, they get discouraged.
The trip contest is four months long, that means that you have 17+ weeks to
work toward the goal. Take your sales goal and divide it by 17. That's what
you'll need each week.
Carry the theme to your shows.
Take your trip destination and make it a theme for your show displays. Use
bright and colorful decorations and tasteful props on your display. Use
seashells to designate the beaches. Include a toy airplane and have fun! Each show you do during the trip contest
will be a "Cabo San Lucas" theme show. Plan your parties to have a
Cabo theme,
give your hostess decorated envelops that say "All Inclusive," "Beautiful
Beaches," "Nightly Entertainment," "Riu Santa Fe," "You're Invited,"
"Tropical Sunsets," etc.
A fun little ice breaker idea is to begin each show by telling the guests:
"One of the benefits of our company is that they provide the opportunity to
earn trips to exotic places. Now through Aug 31st I'm in a contest to win am
all inclusive trip to Cabo San Lucas! So, I'd like to start out the show by having some fun:
"Please tell us your first name, and something that you would pack in
your
suitcase that begins with the first letter of your name. I'll start. My name
is Cathy, and I would pack my camera to take pictures of all the places I
will visit. The
next guest could be Jeannie, and she would pack jewelry (add that she could
wear it to the many dinners that you will be treated to). The next is
Christie, and she would bring cash (explain that most expenses are covered,
but she may need some for souvenirs). These are all excellent recruiting
seeds being planted early on, and you're building the foundation for
follow-up later in the show.

Recruit fast . . . and early!
Our trip contest offers HUGE points for recruiting; and those who recruit
early are the most likely to earn the trip. You'll be earning 500 points for
inviting someone to join H&GP and then you will earn 1 point for every dollar
they sell during the contest period. Plus, there's more! Any Designer
can earn 1,000 points in April when the new recruit has one (1) qualified
order ($200) by May 31, 2008. Why invite
just one? Keep going, set your mind to it and you could invite 5-10 new
Designers during the contest period. Imagine how many points you
can earn on a new recruit who joins early in the contest! Invite
others to join and by helping them to win the trip you'll win the top level of the trip contest!
Remember, recruiting is something that even the newest Designers can do
because it's 90 percent attitude and 10 percent mechanics. Even if you
you've never been "good at recruiting," focus on your passion for your
products and your excitement for what you do. That is what first attracts
people to our opportunity. Give everyone the chance to choose, to give it
a try and know that you have lots of training offered by your sponsor and the
company! Anyone can do it!
Recruiting lots of new Designers quickly creates excitement and helps you
gain momentum. To do this, you need to shift your attitude from passive to
active recruiting. Join in on every company call that will help you with
sponsoring!
Now, set a plan of action.
Work with your sponsor to help you develop a plan. Write down a list of 25
people who could benefit from our opportunity. Then call each of them and
tell them what an excellent time it is to start. If they
join during the contest period they will instantly receive 3500 points just for joining! We
have many months in which to accumulate points and a new Designer CAN
DEFINITELY win this trip. Invite others to join H&GP now and work
together to earn the points needed for the trip. Strive to win the
trip for two! By earning points on your parties, catalog parties, H&GP
Direct, fundraisers, sponsoring Designers, points on your new daughter's
sales etc there is no question that you have the opportunity to win a
fabulous trip for one and celebrate with us in Cabo! But don't
stop there. Win the trip for two! At your shows, initiate conversations with
the guests. Talk about our opportunity. Let them know how easy it is to get
started and what fun it is! Get the word out there. Ask everyone: Who do you
know?
Recruiting is a numbers game. The more people you talk to, the more people
you will recruit! One of the most effective things you can do to reach many
people is to host a series of mini-opportunity events
or "visitor's nights" at your home. Designate one night of every week, so if
someone can't come to the first one, they can come the next week. Invite
every lead and/or referral you get, and watch the
momentum build.
These events are so simple and fun to do. Set up a festive display using
your starter kit (and decorations relating to the theme of your trip) and
highlight each area of our opportunity: program,
products and people. Tell a brief history of your company; then let people
know how much free (or discounted) products they can get by having a show.
Finally, show how much money they can earn by doing the show! You can use
play money, checks, etc. Do some drawings and giveaways – and make it fun!
Sign up now for craft fairs, summer job fairs etc. Rent a
table at a local college or university’s student center, set up a themed
display and offer our opportunity as a summer job with an
opportunity for them to take an all expense paid vacation...the possibilities are endless. In addition to students
you’ll meet many support staff, many of whom work 9 month appointments who
would love the opportunity to earn income this summer. Invite teachers
looking for summer employment to join H&GP. The trip is in early January when many
schools are still on Christmas vacation...perfect!!

Monitor your progress.
Track where you are in reaching your goals by keeping a running total of
your sales after each show. That way you will know exactly where you stand,
and if you need to get on the phone and book a few
more shows or set your goals higher. Now is the time to build a
successful team and keep track of the points you receive by sponsoring them
and the sales they achieve as well.
Ask another designer to be your "trip buddy." Post your request on the loop.
This will give you the support you will need in reaching your goal. Let
everyone in your immediate circle, i.e., friends,
family and co-workers, know what you are working for, and enlist their help,
as well. Impress on everyone that you are going to earn this trip, and urge
everyone to cheer you on. Believe in yourself --
you have the potential to reach your goal.
There is no "magic" formula to earning a trip; and honestly, anyone can do it – not
just the top achievers in the company. Each year, those Designers who join
during the contest period and are determined to win the trip do!!! Winning
the trip is all about attitude, a willingness to work for it, and believing
that winning the trip can be accomplished. All you have to do is book and hold
shows, talk about what you do and how others can do
it too. Then follow up and follow through. Be excited about what you do and
what you have to offer.
In a few months, we'll be congratulating you on earning the incentive trip.
