WHY SHOULD I SPONSOR?
|
Did you know that as a Home & Garden Party
Designer you have the opportunity to change other people's lives for the
better? Did you know you can provide the opportunity for others to earn
extra income for their family? For some people you meet, extra income
could be just for the extras such as vacations and shopping. For
others, extra income could make all the difference in their being able to
pay bills and grocery shop. As a Designer with H&GP you can make the
difference! |
 |
Many people around you today and many others you have yet to
meet are currently in need of extra income, more time with their family, and
friendship and aren’t sure how to achieve that. You won’t know who they are
because most people won’t come forward and tell you. Or, they don’t know
how they could work another job into their schedule. When most people
think of working a part time job they are usually thinking that they have to
commit 20+ hours a week that is scheduled.
Your
obligation is to share the Home & Garden Party opportunity with everyone and
offer each and every one of them a chance to choose.
Let's
look at what you have to offer in a little more detail:
Income….Current
studies state that 84% of people are looking for an opportunity to earn
extra income for themselves and their family. Many are living paycheck to
paycheck and with an increased cost of living. You truly have the
opportunity to help others by offering them a chance to choose to become a
Designer. The lives of many Designers and their family have been
changed tremendously because someone cared enough to help them start a new
business with H&GP. For that, they are very thankful to their sponsor
for providing them with an invitation to join. Please don't deny others that
same opportunity. You won't know how important an opportunity with H&GP could
be to them unless you ask.
More time….People
you already know and others you'll meet at your parties would like to have
more time with their family….most people don’t realize what H&GP can offer
financially and the flexibility our company provides. No other
opportunity can help us to earn as much money on a schedule we make around
our family. With H&GP we are able to put our family first and still be able
to work hard to provide them with the financial support and nurturing we
wish to. Many women are away from their children most of their waking hours
and after paying for child care are left with a very small weekly paycheck.
Holding just a couple of shows per week instead could provide them with the
same income and be able to be predominantly home with their children. In
your travels and at your shows you will meet people in that and many other
similar situations. A young woman full time in college may need funds for
tuition, another women may be struggling to pay off debt and is already
working full time, another woman may need additional funds for prescription
medication to supplement her retirement. Don't prejudge anyone....you never
know who will need your help.
Fellowship….We’re
a family! Lifelong friendships are to be found with H&GP. Attending meetings,
Rally, Company Trips, networking with other Designers etc. will provide many
opportunities for building great friendships with others. Whether
someone you meet is a stay-at-home-mom or someone who works a full time job,
most women wish they had more friendships with others!
Although building a
team has many personal rewards get over thinking about sponsoring as "trying
to talk someone into joining." It's not about you! It's about what you can
offer to someone else. Sponsoring is about attitude - believing you
have something worthwhile to share….something many many people would
appreciate. Take action and start asking others if an opportunity with H&GP
could help them and their family.
Sponsoring is a
three-step process that allows people to consider whether the Home & Garden Party business opportunity is a good choice for them.
The first step is to inform everyone about the H&GP business opportunity.
Just as you inform people about the benefits of hosting a Party,
you want to inform them of the benefits of being a Designer.
Step two is to
invite your prospects to consider the business for themselves. After you inform people, you need to directly invite individuals to
learn more about the business opportunity. The great news is that H&GP
provides you with the tools to make this step super easy!
The
third stop is to interview people who have expressed interest. An interview is a conversation in which you explore together how Home & Garden Party can
meet
that person’s wants and needs. This is the ideal time to discuss your potential
Designer’s aspirations for a business, as well as to help her find solutions to any
concerns. Again, using the Opportunity DVD, the Opportunity Brochure,
the Kit Brochure etc will do most of this for you!
If I'm a new Designer...should I sponsor?
Yes, yes and another yes! There is no better
time to start sponsoring than when you first join! Invite a friend to join
with you. You'll have a lot of fun learning together and you'll be able to
benefit from the Smart Start Rewards Program. More importantly, if your
first recruit is someone you just met they still deserve the same
opportunity to benefit from what H&GP can offer them whether you are new or
experienced. All the support and training they will need is available
to them! With the support provided by our Home Office, the H&GP Web, your
team, our weekly training calls, and the Garden of Roses Web they'll have all the tools they'll need to
succeed!
How do I sponsor if I've never sponsored
before?
That's easy! Just believe in what H&GP
offers, use the tools provided, and start inviting! Take a fresh look at the people on your “Who do you know?” list. Don’t
assume that you
know what they need in their lives. Even close friends and family don’t
necessarily tell
you! It’s up to you to share what you enjoy about your business and invite
them to find
out more. Whether it be people you already know or new acquaintances
you'll meet at you shows you will pass in your travels many many people who
would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to benefit by being a Designer.
If you are not inviting, you are denying them the chance to choose!
The world is full of people you haven’t met yet. Get good at starting
conversations. A
smile…a question…a comment works wonders for opening the door to
conversation.
Don’t go out with the goal of sponsoring. Just meet people. Once you begin
to build
rapport with someone, you can share a little information and exchange names
and
numbers.
Look for prospects at your Parties, starting with
your Hostess. After all, she liked you and your product enough to invite you
into her home. Watch for
Guests who enjoy the party and love the food! The Party is a natural
beginning for the
sponsoring process. Be willing to share info about H&GP, willing to genuinely
answer their questions, and keep your eyes and ears open for someone who may
need what you have to offer. Reassure each prospect that you are happy to
help any questions she may have so she can make the decision if joining H&GP
is the right opportunity for her and her family.
There
are a number of approaches you can use to invite people to join H&GP. Prepare
yourself by learning be becoming familiar with our sponsoring materials and practice the sample
scripts so that you will be comfortable using them. Share with your
prospects the Opportunity DVD, Opportunity Brochure etc, read through the "How to Sponsor" training
with John Kiple, and then put that information into practice! Be sure to
also read through the section on "Sponsoring at your Parties." What to
say can be very simple. Your verbiage, however, can be very important
so make sure you learn all you can about sponsoring.
Sample verbiage is listed here so you see how easy it can be. For
people you know well who may have interest you could say:
“I started a business that I absolutely love and I thought
of you. I’ve always thought it would be fun to work together. Can we get together so I can
tell you about it?”
To
your closest circle of friends, family and
neighbors share with them a catalog, DVD, and say:
“Can you help me? I’m building my business, and I know that
you care about my success. I need practice on my sponsoring presentation. Can I practice
on you?”
For people
you may not know as well or you're uncertain if they would be interested you
might say:
“I’ve started my own business and I would really value your
opinion. Can you spend a little time with me and tell me what you think?”
You
can approach anyone you make contact with by saying:
“I’ve started a business and I was wondering if you could
help me. Who do you know that has talked about starting a home-based business or likes
getting friends together in their home?”
Sponsoring can be by far one of the greatest rewards you will discover as a
Designer with H&GP. You are wished much success, encouragement to share the
opportunity, and the fun you'll discover in building a team. To those
you will sponsor I'll look forward to welcoming them to the Home & Garden
Party family.
