Let's Have a Buddy Party! 

Work smarter, not harder and watch your business soar!  Would you love to double your attendance, double your sales, and double your bookings?!  Absolutely, but how? Make every party a buddy party!

What is a buddy party? A buddy party is one in which you have two hostesses with two guest lists for every party booking.  When calling people for bookings, while at your shows, or when you hostess coach simply inform everyone that you hold buddy parties for all of your shows.  Rather than just booking your hostess for a single party ask her who she would like to invite to have a party with her! Ask her “Who will be your buddy?” and inform your hostess that you like to always prefer a buddy party.

When you are calling someone to obtain a new booking don't forget to invite her to ask a friend to host the party with her.  When you have booked a new hostess at a party inform her that it's much more fun to do a party with a friend and that you offer a Buddy Bonus for your hostesses.  Ask your hostess which one of her friends she would like to offer the opportunity to also have fun and earn hostess benefits.  Ask her if she has a sister, a neighbor, or a friend that will be interested in hosting a party with her. In most cases the hostess will usually at least say “maybe” and at that point give her a second hostess packet to share with her buddy.  Ask her to confirm who her buddy will be within the next few days and that you will be following up with her to get the buddy’s name and contact information.  You’ll need the contact information of the buddy so that you can hostess coach her as well and a decision on which home the party will be held.  

Each hostess will provide you with a completed guest list, and each will earn hostess credit on the guests they invite. Only when there is a mutual friend will hostess benefits be shared.  You’ll coach each hostess just as though each were having their own party.  The new hostess who booked first will receive a booking credit by simply inviting a friend to host a party with her as long as she has $200 or more in additional party sales.  Please note, however, that if both new hostesses attended the party together, the original hostess will receive both booking credits.

Remember, go forth with the assumption that all parties will be buddy parties and your hostesses will too!  Believe that it will happen and it will!  If you currently have bookings that are single shows get on the phone and call your hostesses! Offer them a bonus and ask for a buddy!  

How to book a buddy party - Achieving a buddy party starts asking. Ask your hostess which of her friends will have a party with her and follow up to secure two guest lists. Coach each hostess individually and request that she ask her guests to bring a friend with them to the party.  You can also add a sticker to each party mailer offering an incentive if the guests bring a friend to the party.  During your party presentation discuss buddy parties several times, especially when you are playing your booking games. When a guest brings a friend to the party they have already brought their booking buddy!

To promote buddy parties you can offer an exclusive Buddy Bonus.  You can create your own flyer and offer any promotion you would like to create.  Offering a choice of discounted items just over 50% off will encourage your hostess to find a Buddy.  To be eligible, require a minimum of $400 in sales from each hostess but do not allow the hostesses to share the sales in order to qualify.  When you submit the order you will enter the items under retail.  You will receive your 40% discount plus an additional 20% in hostess benefits on those items. You can then move a customer item about the same amount of added hostess benefits and order that item under hostess benefits.  Although you are offering the bonus items less than 50% it will end up being at no additional cost to you! For example, if you offer a fragrance lamp for $20, you pay $30.  Although you are collecting $10 less than your cost you also earn $10.00 in additional hostess benefits! (20% hostess benefits on a $50 lamp is $10.00).
